Office address

American Vegetarian Association, 60 S. 6th Street, Suite 2800, Minneapolis, MN 55402, United States. Visits are by appointment only - please call ahead so we can make sure the right team member is available.

Phone

Call 612-416-8550 during US Central business hours. We typically respond to voicemail within one business day. For new certification inquiries, please be ready to share your product category and the AVA seal you are targeting (Vegetarian, Vegan, Plant-Based, Animal-Free, or Recommended).

Email

Email info@americanveg.org for new certification inquiries, status questions on an active review, renewals, or general support. Please include your company name and product name in the subject line so we can route the message to the right team member quickly.

Begin an application

If you are ready to begin the certification process, the fastest path is the online application on our Get Certified page. An AVA team member will respond with a quote and the next steps for ingredient documentation, label review, and sample submission.

Media and partnership inquiries

Media requests, retailer partnership inquiries, and trade-show meeting requests can also be sent to info@americanveg.org. Please indicate the nature of the inquiry in the subject line so it can be routed to the right team member quickly. For urgent retailer label-compliance questions about a currently certified product, please call 612-416-8550 directly during US Central business hours so we can prioritize a same-day response where possible.

What to include in your first message

When reaching out about a new certification, the most useful first message includes your company name, the product or product line you want to certify, the AVA seal you have in mind, the country of manufacture, and a rough timeline for when you would like to be approved. With those five items the AVA team can usually respond with a quote and a documentation checklist on the first reply.
